We are running an underwater photography workshop at the Iberostar Cozumel Resort, Cozumel, Mexico.
This trip would be ideal for anyone with an interest in improving their underwater photography but would particularly suit those with non-diving partners or family who want a trip that combines some diving and underwater photography with plenty of opportunity to relax out of the water.
With a blend of formal and informal coaching we will conduct both group and one to one instruction. A daily talk will cover topics such as Understanding Exposure, Composition and Lighting, Shooting in Manual Mode, Equipment and Post Production. We will make ourselves available to answer questions, give advice and will conduct ad hoc teaching sessions throughout the trip. We will also have some demo equipment to try such as wet lenses and strobes. And everyone participating in the workshop will have the opportunity to have one on one time where we can review your images and give you specific advice. The aim of the workshop is for everyone to be happier with the pictures they are getting at the end of the trip than they were at the start.
Most dive sites are within the Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park, which protects much of the second largest barrier reef system in the world, the Meso-American reef system. This marine park is home to some 65 species of corals and more than 500 fish species live in the park, including the endangered splendid toadfish. Divers often see loggerhead, hawksbill and green turtles.
Accommodation is all-inclusive with the option of a 10 or 14 night stay.
Diving packages are either 8 or 12 days with two boat dives a day included and free Nitrox for qualified divers. Additional dives can be arranged in resort. Diving is with the well regarded Dressel Divers who have a dive centre on site.
