Online Underwater Photography Course for Compact Camera Users

This is a ten session online course aimed at owners of the compact cameras such as Canon G9X’s, G7X’s, Sony RX100s etc. who wish to get started with or improve their underwater photography.

The course includes equipment maintenance, photography technique, lighting, composition, styles of underwater photography, safety and diving technique, understanding and photographing marine life, how to improve as an underwater photographer and photography workflow.

Each session is about one and a half hours long. All sessions will start at 8pm UK Time and be run on Mondays starting on 21st September 2026 and finishing on 21st December. There will be three breaks in this course. One for one session on 28th September during our Kinlochbervie workshop, another for two sessions on 2nd and 9th November for a holiday and one for a single session on 30th November.

Sessions will be recorded and be available in a members only area on our website for attendees to access for between 3 and 6 months after each session.

Courses will run as long as a minimum of three people have booked on them. If this number is not achieved we will either postpone the start date or cancel the course. If we cancel a course you will receive a refund and if the start is postponed you will have the choice to wait or if that is inconvenient a refund will be given.

Cost is £140 for the complete course. This course may also be taken as recordings only with no support (£100) or as recordings with two hours of one to one Zoom session to get answers to any questions you have and personal advice about your camera set up (£140).

All options also include perpetual access to a version of the course. This means that once the original version of the course you take has been removed from the website to make space for newer ones you can get access to a later version by contacting
