INON Strobes and Ring Flashes Chat

My latest live chat on our Facebook Page was looked at a couple of subjects that viewers asked about during previous talks. This time I looked at the features and differences between the various strobes in the INON range including early ones that are no longer made but can still be found on the used market. After that I talk about using ring flashes and why I don’t use one myself.

If you want to skip my pre-amble I stop waffling about 6 minutes in and kick off with an update of what I’ve been doing including a little bit about trying to use macro wet lenses for land photography on a telephoto lens.

Information on the early INON strobes is a little sparse, so I must apologise for any inaccuracies. Feel free to comment on here or email us at info@alphamarinephoto.com if you can add some information about the early strobes especially the Z22.

I’ll post links to more information about some of the strobes and other relevant links below the video.

The latest larger strobes from INON are the Z330 and D200 their direct predeccessors are the Z240 and D2000. Detailed information about all these models is available on INON’s website, click on the individual strobe names in this paragraph to go to the relevant pages.

We are an INON dealer in the UK and can supply new strobes and accessories and also replacement parts for most of the discontinued models. Email us at info@alphamarinephoto.com for information, to make equipment orders and to get quotes.

Regarding ring flashes we don’t sell any currently apart from the diffusers for Olympus TG’s and housings but if you are looking for one for use on land our affiliate camera dealer Wex Photo/Video sell a number of options as do Amazon For more about the affiliate programmes we participate in go to our T and C’s. Be aware that as I don’t use one myself I can’t give a specific recommendation for a make or model.

I’ll be back with another talk every Thursday at 8pm UK time. Go to our Facebook Page to watch live and Like/Follow us to comment and ask questions. For the previous book chat and links to buy some of the books go to my blog post here

Thanks for watching and as usual feel free to email questions to info@alphamarinephoto.com or comment on this blog. Use the same email for enquiries about workshops, equipment sales etc.
